WILLERBY DEMONSTRATES ITS BLUE SKYE THINKING

Leading holiday home manufacturer, Willerby has unveiled its latest holiday home, the flexible family-friendly Skye. The unique holiday home was created in direct response to the rising popularity of ‘staycations’, with more families than ever before looking to holiday in the UK following the Brexit vote and weakening of the pound.

The Skye is the perfect home-away-from home for families holidaying together – something which is noticeably on the rise. The spacious fully open plan living and dining area features a large L shaped seating area complete with fold-out occasional sofa bed so there’s more than enough space for family and friends to staycation together.

Kirsten Bolton, Marketing Director of Willerby, commented: “We’ve seen a noticeable rise in people holidaying with family and friends in recent years. Joint family ownership of holiday homes has increased significantly too and this looks set to continue, especially with Brexit making European destinations a less attractive option and more people than ever before enjoying staycations in the UK.”

Stylish and practical in equal measure the Skye has plenty of storage space including a handy full height cupboard in the hallway, lift-up under-bed storage in the master bedroom. The kitchen area, which features oak vinyl flooring, porcelain coloured cupboards, contrasting dark wood veneer worktops and stylish glass splashback, is open and inviting. With a double cavity gas oven with hob/grill and extractor fan, integrated 70/30 fridge-freezer, integrated microwave and plenty of worktop space, it is designed to make cooking for family and entertaining friends a breeze.

Available in either two or three bedroom versions, there are six layouts and sizes to choose from, with multiple upgrade options, which offer maximum flexibility.

The launch of the Skye comes hot on the heels of Willerbys announcement this month that Equistone Partners Europe Limited (“Equistone”), one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity investors, has acquired a majority stake in the Company from Caird Capital investment.

Peter Munk, CEO of Willerby, commented:

“The market opportunity within the UK holiday home sector is exciting and, with our scale, skilled passionate people, technical innovations, and leading production, we are well-placed to capitalise upon it. We’re delighted to have found in Equistone an investor with not only a proven track record in supporting mid-market companies’ growth, but also an understanding of the importance of our proud history of premium quality and technical innovation to the Willerby brand’s success.”
